About Us
As the owner of Trace Productions, Tracy Ready brings a wide range of production background to the table for his clients.
As a Director of Photography and Writer / Producer, Tracy has earned a reputation as a creative professional with strong people skills and an appreciation for the business side. Starting from a music production base, he spent more than 10 years working as an audio engineer in live performance and multi-track recording environments. He has had published work as a free lance journalist and song lyricist.
From this background, Tracy entered the television production field in Dallas in 1989. He was an honors graduate of the Art Institute of Dallas, receiving an Associates degree in Music and Video Production.
After freelancing as a Cameraman and Audio Technician, Tracy took a staff job with CNN in the network's Dallas news bureau as an Assignments Editor / Field Producer, coordinating crews and story elements for the network in a 5 state region. After one year working the desk, he advanced to the position of Staff Photographer and remained with the network until August of 1995. While at CNN, he covered a multitude of national news stories including the entire Branch Davidian Siege near Waco (CableACE award), Hurricane Andrew, Ross Perot's Presidential Bid, Flooding in the Midwest, and the Oklahoma City Bombing (Emmy and CableACE awards). He left the staff position to form his own company, Trace Productions.
Trace Productions provides project continuity — taking corporate video projects from inception through script writing, production and editing with an understanding of the medium of television and a high motivation for client satisfaction. Corporate clients include Nortel Networks, Netscape Communications, Verizon Information Services, SABRE, American Airlines, BMW North America, Excel Communications and Alventive.
