Thank you for visiting Trace Productions on the web. I hope you will consider our services for your next project, large or small. Let me take a moment to tell you a little more about myself and Trace Productions.

I am a seasoned cameraman, having spent six years with CNN, working out of the network's Dallas news bureau. During my tenure with CNN I worked not only as a field cameraman but also as an assignments editor and field producer. Prior to that I worked in the music industry, as a sound mixer for live applications and as a studio engineer. While doing sound, I also held a position in sales and public relations for a franchised service company. By combining these skills, I believe I represent a unique combination in the industry. I have strived to achieve a balance between my creative side and the practicalities of the business world.

When I approach a project, I am concerned with a variety of issues, the best use of the medium of television, the needs and desires of my client, and the end message to the viewing audience.

As a Director of Photography / Cameraman, I have done everything from banging out a story a day in news applications, to long form documentary pieces, to corporate image statements. With each project, I strive to tailor my skills to provide what is appropriate for my clients.

As a Writer / Producer I have produced scripts for a quarterly news magazine style program as well as multiple corporate marketing and training presentations. In 1999, I was awarded a Telly award as Writer / Producer for a video created for Caltex Petroleum Corporation.

My first jobs in the industry were as a Sound Technician, and I continue to function in that role as well. My experiences with sound have benefited my skills as a D.P., as I am constantly working with other shooters and Producers and keeping current with technology and industry trends.

Through the years, I have developed strong working relationships with a variety of experts in areas related to my business. Through these relationships, Trace Productions offers many services in addition to production, including non-linear editing, graphics design, video compression, cd-rom production and video duplications. Our business agreements are structured so that we can provide all of these elements at a competitive cost to our clients. The difference is that, as my client, I will personally guide your project from start to finish with a strong attention to detail.
